Kindermusik Our Time

Our Time is designed specifically for ages 1.5 - 3 years.  Our Time encourages your child to discover an engaging musical world while building confidence, self-control and communications skills.  Activities allow young children to explore their budding independence, as well as sharing a special one-on-one time with their care-giver.  Singing, imitating sounds, rhyming and object identificiation foster language skills.  Creative movement to various musical "moods" develops a sense of balance, timing and spatial awareness, while simultaneously encouraging an appreciation for a wide range of musical styles and tonalities.  Listening and turn-taking encourage blossoming social skills.  Musical skills such as playing a steady beat and singing a simple song begin to emerge and are strengthened.  Parents enjoy the musical learning along with their children during the entire 45-minute class time.

In Fall 2008, Our Time classes will be exploring the unit-- Milk and Cookies.  This unit includes its own specially designed At Home Materials-- 2 CDs, a special "stir xylophone" instrument, 2 literature books and a home activity book.  These materials are perfect for continuing the Kindermusik music, fun, and learning at home with your family!

Milk & Cookies' songs and activities promote interaction between parent and child, where the parent gently guides their child's learning. Capturing the security, excitement and familiarity of "at home" moments is the ideal theme for type of learning.
